Prologue:
The journey is more important than the destination. So here I start walking to set a journey for you to remember.
Walking down the road I found my mind meandering to the past,
So I kept aside the old set of memories for a while,
Looked through the eyes of an old wise man,
And got some clues as to where my footsteps were leading me.
I came across a beauty like a rainbow hanging from the sky,
I hooked myself to the hands of a clock for the time to stop,
Should I stay or move ahead?
I leaned towards a stony wall gathered with moss,
It gave me a hint of an unpredictable weather,
I looked up towards the sky for the weatherman’s signal,
And found a green sign on the trail leading somewhere.
Like an old essay, I see my life flipping through a notebook,
Like an old essay, I see my life searching for the lost pages,
Like an old essay, I try to find the missing notes,
And see this old essay giving one more life.
I’m reaching for the last page to end this story,
For you to read about my history,
I hope this memoir will lead you to me,
If you get lost and confused you can find the trail,
And feel the weathered moss where I’d once been.
Like an old essay, I see the notebook lying along the trail,
Like an old essay, I see the derelict pages scattered like leaves,
If you intend to walk with me through this odyssey,
You can find me sitting on a lone blank page,
Waiting to write yet another essay.
Epilogue:
This old essay, I’ll carry throughout my odyssey. And it still continues…
